Just Skank presents Kryptic Minds

Any fan of the Robot Bodypop show quickly realises this is a mouth-watering line-up for us. Alongside Kryptic Minds, Just Skank bring the mighty DJ Madd, Dub Phizix, Killawatt and the rising Compa. A serious line up staged at the Moho Live venue. Theres a second room featuring upcoming talent and the hosts for the night come in the form of Broke ‘n’ English wordsmith Strategy, GNI MC and Sin Seer. I hear Compa is going to be there selling whites of ‘Dem A Talk’ so be sure to get in early and corner him. Really looking forward to this one and it promises to be as diverse as it does upfront. Big up Just Skank for this

Dub Phizix & Skeptical ft. Strategy – Marka

Chances are if you’ve seen D-Bridge playing out recently you will have caught this deep number forthcoming on his Exit Records label and its arguably one of the tracks of the year. Absolutely storming. Production is held down by Mancunian soundboy Dub Phizix alongside Skeptical with Broke’N'English mic-man Strategy with a killer flow unlike anything you’ve heard in his previous work. It’s out on 19th December and all pre-orders of the vinyl version have already been snapped up! Check out the video filmed in and around Manchester and bag yourself a copy. On the flip is a track on a similar vibe named ‘Rags’. Incredible stuff.

Hosts for the night are SP:MC, DRS & Strategy. Excited? You should be.

Skittles – Dot2Dot

Following on from Broke’N'English’s recent Umbro bursary, their versatile imprint Estate Recordings is back in business. Luckily for you, us and any other fan of upfront music, their first release is Mancunian wordsmith Skittles newest cut. Out on the 7th November, Dot2Dot is already on Radio 1 rotation and gaining airplay from Mary Anne Hobbs amongst others. Put simply, its a banger and with the release featuring remixes from Zed Bias, Dub Phizix and Joe Kalius its as fresh as you can get. Beats and lyrics come as good as it gets. Essential listening.
